A Heartfelt Thank You from the Schwartz Family


Thank you to our Notre Dame family, our community of Wilcox, our friends, our family and to the owners and staff of Nicky's Café and the Diplomat restaurant (the family of Elena Makris).

Thank you for the extremely beautiful "Evening in Greece".

Thank you for your blessings, the very generous donations, the prayers, the networking to promote both cord blood and bone marrow registrations, the visits, the encouragement and support and most of all your love.

Thank you for taking time from your very busy and very active lifestyles to strengthen our family through this very difficult time.

We thought we truly learned the meaning of "Hounds Have Heart" and "Struggle and Emerge" when Mandi endured the first five rounds of chemo from December 2008 to May 2009 but this year since her relapse in late April we have found a deeper meaning to those famous quotes because of all of you and all that you have done and all that you continue to do.

Your presence in our lives has been so very "inspiring" and "motivational" in this extremely difficult battle with leukemia. Please always remember, that even though today the awareness is in Mandi's name, that the benefits extend above and beyond to all patients in need of bone marrow transplants - there is no doubt that lives will be saved because of all of you. We are forever grateful.
